It is with much sadness that we announce that Jim Fry will no longer be coaching the Raptors National League programme. Jim has been a terrific servant to the club and has volunteered tirelessly for four years. During his tenure he has led the team to three promotions in four years, recruited some of the country's best players and led the Raptors to a National playoff title. More importantly than any of those achievements Jim has built great friendships, has helped and mentored many young people and been a truly upstanding member of the Club.
Ken Masser commented; "Its a very sad day for the Club. Jim is one of the nicest, most genuine and charismatic figures in the game. He is a close personal friend and I hope we will be able to work together again in the future. His work with the Raptors has been unbelievable and his commitment unquestionable. He's one of the world’s truly fantastic people and he will be sorely missed. We will now have to assess our options over the next few weeks with a view to identifying a head coach to continue to move the club forwards in the longer term.”
Everyone at the Club wishes Jim all the best in his future endeavours.
