Jim Fry: Rossendale Coach of the Year

Following three succesive promotions, three winning season and losing less than 10/65+ competitive games in three years Jim Fry has finally been awarded for his effort, commitment and dedication by winning the Rossendale Coach of the Year.

Jim was recognised for his all round commitment to coaching and to the club, in particular his support of the junior and schools programme, assistance at schools competitions and as his role of head coach of the National League team.

Depsite winning the Northern Division losing only two games all season, and adding the National Playoff title following playoff wins against Stockport, Crawley and Worcester Jim was overlooked as the Division four coach of the year, with the award instead going to Malcolm Leak of Burnley Blaze.

Some of the basketball community suggested that the Rossendale team was so talented that they needed very little coaching to gain their success, but that doesnt do justice to Jim's expertise in recruiting and building a team that gelled together so well. His winning mentality, commitment and deciation is second to none and it was a well deserved award for all he has accomplished in the last 12 months.
