Volunteering


The Raptors are always looking for new volunteers and have lots of chances for people to get involved. We work hard to give our volunteers the training and support they need to enjoy their role.

Opportunities include:

Game day

GAME STEWARDS Stewards to assist on game-nights, including helping to set-up, assist people to their seats, take tickets etc.

CLUB MASCOT Energetic and fun personality to adorn a Wasps mascot costume and entertain the fans.

GAME MC Energetic and fun personality to help entertain the home crowd.

Media & Marketing

CLUB JOURNALISTS Budding writers to write match reports, interviews and other articles for use in the official programme, in the press and on the official website.

WEBSITE CONTENT MANAGER Using content from the club journalists, publish articles and match reports on the official website along with keeping other information up-to-date.

PROGRAMME EDITOR Using content from the club journalists, produce a programme for every home game.

PROGRAMME DESIGNER Ideally have skills with Adobe Design Suite, design a programme for each home game and insert content provided from the programme editor.

VIDEO CAMERA OPERATORS Skilled video camera operators to film each game’s play and interviews with coaches & players following.

VIDEO EDITORS Skilled video editors to edit game footage to produce highlights video.

GRAPHIC DESIGNERS: To design posters, leaflets and more to assist the clubs promotion

Club Finance & Administration

FUNDRAISING CO-ORDINATOR Energetic and fun personality to create and implement fundraising activities.

FUNDRAISERS Energetic people who can assist the Funraising Co-ordinator in fundraising activities for the club.

Playing Operations

JUNIOR COACHES Level 1 Basketball coaches to coach junior teams to compete in local leagues.

TEAM MANAGER Responsible individual to assist the first team players and coaches during training and home games.

MINIBUS DRIVER Experienced driver to drive the Wasps first team to away games every two weeks.
